Prescribed Medication

Side effects

While taking prescribed medications, especially for emotional or mental health symptoms, you may experience side effects. Side effects can last a few days to weeks and typically diminish over time. Being an active participant with your prescriber is an important component of your health journey. Have open, honest, and as-needed communication with your prescriber before and while being medicated. We recommend that mental health counseling be included when using mental health medication.
