Shane advocates for life-long financial security in all that he does. He has been a guest of KIRO Radio in Seattle and National Public Radio (NPR) for financial matters. He is a frequent guest of KSL Radio and Television lending financial expertise to news stories. He also volunteers as an interpreter on the Chuukese Translation team for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 2004.

A native of Ogden, Utah, Shane graduated from Weber State University with a double major in economics and English. He has a master’s of business degree from the Marriott School of Business at BYU, where he graduated in the top of his class. He is the past president and chairman of the Utah Financial Planning Association.

Shane and his wife, Vicki, have four children and one grandchild. An avid sportsman, he likes to run, play rugby, snowboard, and surf.
